Warehouse Genius FAQs

My company recently entered leases for Raymond lifts through a 3PL. Previously, we have used work platforms (cages) to do inventory. Is this is acceptable for models 4250 and 7500? If so, are there any requirements that should be taken into consideration from OSHA?

Safety standards for work platforms are referenced in the back of the manuals for each truck along with references to specific OSHA regulations. These models can lift workers, but should not be used for travel while elevated unless it’s for final positioning with only very minor movements being allowed. When the operator of the lift is on the floor and is elevating personnel for maintenance, the operator needs to position the lift in the area they will be working. Before moving the truck to the next location, all workers need to be safely on the ground. These trucks are not meant to travel with any personnel elevated in the air.
