Bae 5 Tracker
Warehouse Genius FAQs

I’m interested in maximizing storage while allowing space for an order picker to move within the aisle.

How-to-Maximize-Storage-Space-When-Expansion-Is-not-an-OptionIn a wire-guided aisle, allow for 6 inches on each side on the orderpicker. The standard orderpicker is 40 inches wide, so you will need 52 inches between products or the racking (whichever is closest).

If you are running unguided orderpickers, allow for 18 inches on each side for clearance, meaning you will need 76 inches between products or the racking (whichever is closest).

Remember, if you have pallets protruding into the aisle (overhang) you will want to set everything back to the minimum aisle recommendations above. This article on how to optimize your existing warehouse may also prove useful, HERE.
